On October 26, 2012 Princess Cruises announced their Australia and New Zealand itineraries for 2012-2013 which included four ships scheduled to cruise this market. This will be the largest number of ships deployed to this region by a North American cruise line. Here's what to expect.
Summary of Australia and New Zealand Cruises
14-Day Australia and New Zealand – The Diamond Princess offers six cruises between December 14, 2012 and February 22, 2013. The 14-day cruise between Sydney and Auckland will include the Australian ports of Melbourne and Hobart along with the New Zealand ports of Dunedin, Christchurch, Picton, Wellington, Tauranga and Fjordland cruising.
Aussie Experience Cruises – Sun Princess, Dawn Princess and Sea Princess offer "Aussie-style" cruising. Cruises feature authentic Australian food, entertainment and ambiance onboard. These ships will also use Australian currency onboard. Cruises depart from either Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne.
